And refer to PMID: 10488881,  vitamin C supplementation (> or =1 g/day) has quite consistently reduced the duration of colds.

Long-term daily supplementation with vitamin C in large doses appears to be a modest benefit in reducing the duration of cold symptoms from ingestion of relatively high doses of vitamin C. In 2010, researchers looked at all studies and found that taking vitamin C every day, made symptoms improve in some cases.

Vitamin C is an important vitamin and antioxidant that the body uses to keep you strong and healthy. Vitamin C is used in the maintenance of bones, muscle, and blood vessels. It also assists in the formation of collagen and helps the body absorb iron.

Lemon Balm 10:1  – is a natural remedy for colds, helping to sweat out a fever, and has mild antiviral properties. It is also widely used for promoting gastrointestinal health, reducing stress, aiding sleep, and relaxing muscles.

American Ginseng 5:1  – American ginseng is considered an adaptogen – a class of substances that are believed to stimulate the body’s resistance to physical, environmental, and emotional stressors. According to a 2020 study, Trusted Source: Ginsenosides, the active components of ginseng, may target pathways in the immune system that could reduce inflammation. Ginseng may also help stimulate physical and mental activity in people who feel weak and tired. And showed good results in helping people with chronic fatigue.

In 2018, a report concluded that, based on human and animal studies, ginseng components have the potential to treat some cognitive deficits. These studies showed ginseng could reduce oxidative stress, which could lead to enhancement in cognitive function.

Echinacea 10:1  – Native Americans have used it for centuries to treat various ailments. Antioxidants appear to be higher in extracts, such as flavonoids, cichoric acid, and rosmarinic acid, which also contain compounds called alkamides, which can further enhance antioxidant activity. Alkamides can renew worn-out antioxidants and help antioxidants better reach molecules that are prone to oxidative stress. Today, it’s best known as an over-the-counter herbal remedy for the common cold or flu. They also found that taking zinc made colds a bit less severe.

Zinc is a mineral that’s important to the body in many ways. Zinc keeps the immune system strong, helps heal wounds, and supports normal growth. Some studies have found that zinc may reduce the number of upper respiratory infections. In studies, Zinc may work by preventing the rhinovirus from multiplying. It may also stop the rhinovirus from lodging in the mucous membranes of the throat and nose.

Magnesium Glycinate  – This form of magnesium is combined with the amino acid glycine. Overall, the glycinate form absorbs better and is least likely to cause digestive distress.  Magnesium supports a healthy inflammatory response, creates and maintains muscle, offers more stable blood sugar control, aids metabolism may boost energy, and keeps bones healthy and strong.

Uniquely, magnesium glycinate is known for its ability to affect our neurological health. Research has shown that taking a few times per day has shown marked improvement in cases of depression, anxiety, and memory loss.
