Children need vitamin D3 in order to build strong bones. This tends to be one of the main vitamins that infants and young children lack in their diet since breast milk contains only trace elements of vitamin D. This vitamin is essential for children in order for them to build strong bones. Our bodies need vitamin D in order to absorb calcium. Natural vitamin D3 compound is a complete structure and contains the related biological active enzyme and other trace minerals, which can be completely absorbed and utilized by the human body. Synthetic vitamin D is only partially absorbed and utilized by the body. Clinical trials from Japan have proved natural vitamin lasts three times longer in the body compared to synthetic vitamin.
Babies need omega-3s, and in particular, DHA, because that nutrient is central to the brain’s growth, structure and development. The brain and the retina both need DHA in order to properly form and function. DHA is pulled from the mother’s blood stores and placenta during pregnancy. Once the baby is born, DHA is transferred through a nursing mother’s breast milk to the baby. Folate is vital to the development of DNA. As a result, it plays a large role in cell growth and development, as well as tissue formation.
Just 1 ml (1 dropper) a day to ensure that our baby can grow healthily every day!

Directions: For Infants: Health Canada recommends that breastfed, healthy babies receive a daily vitamin D supplement of 100-400 IU. Supplementation of the vitamin should begin at birth and continue until one year of age. Vitamin D Drops can be placed directly into the baby’s mouth. It can also be dropped onto the breast or pacifier. Just allow your infant to suck for half a minute.
Main Ingredients and Functions :
Vitamin D3: Babies, children, and teens should take vitamin D supplements early in life to promote overall growth and development, not just for bone health as is commonly believed. It’s especially important for infants who are breastfed since breast milk contains only small amounts of vitamin D, and a lack of this vital vitamin could seriously affect a baby’s development.
Vitamin D3 is important for regulating calcium uptake to keep bones strong. It also supports proper immune function, mood and mental health, learning and memory. That’s the word from the nation’s leading pediatricians, outlined in a new policy statement issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The statement appears in the April 2003 issue of Pediatrics.
“There’s evidence that many children are vitamin D-deficient long before they show signs of rickets,” says Frank R. Greer, MD, a member of the AAP’s Committee on Nutrition, and professor of pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. His committee helped write the new policy regarding baby development.
Rickets is a bone-softening disease linked with inadequate vitamin D intake, Greer tells WebMD. Weakened bones in small children result in bowed legs, soft skull, and delay in crawling and walking. Doctors are seeing increasing numbers of children with rickets, he says.
Sunlight can be a major source of vitamin D since the skin can produce the vitamin. However, sun exposure is difficult to measure and it is also dangerous for young infants. In fact, parents are urged to keep babies younger than six months out of direct sunlight. Very early exposure to sunlight seems to greatly impact the risk of skin cancer.
Sunscreen prevents the skin from absorbing vitamin D, even though it offers important skin protection.
Doctors are encouraging new mothers to breastfeed their infants in order to boost immunity. With this comes a concern that a baby’s development will be impaired if infants get too little vitamin D. Signs of weakening bones are subtle, so damage may occur before there are any outward signs of a baby development problem, he adds.
Drop form of Vitamin D is available for infants. Beginning in the first two months of life, a minimum of 200 IU of vitamin D per day promotes optimal baby development, Greer tells WebMD. “This should continue throughout childhood and adolescence. In fact, throughout our lives, we should all take at least 200 units a day. After age 65, we may need to take a little more.”

DHA: Among omega-3 fatty acids, DHA is particularly critical for healthy brain development and function. In addition to giving structure to our brain cells and facilitating their communication, DHA has other vital roles to play:
- Helps our brains create and maintain what’s known as plasticity, the ability of the brain to modify its structure and the ways it functions. Our brains’ plasticity supports our ability to learn, to change our behaviors, to process emotions and emotional experiences, and to recover from brain injury or damage.
- Continues to fuel the growth of new brain cells as we age and develop beyond our first two years of life.
- Critical to cellular development in our eyes and helps us maintain healthy vision.
DHA is an essential nutrient throughout our lives. But this fatty acid has a unique significance for infants. That’s because, during the earliest months and years of life, DHA helps to fuel an incredible pace of growth and development of the brain. Folate, also known as folic acid, helps build cells in our bodies and is important in making DNA.
Folate: Natural folate helps build cells in our bodies and is important in making DNA. As a result, folate plays a large role in cell growth and development, as well as tissue formation.
