Black Sesame Seeds have been used in Chinese culture for thousands of years, mainly due to their anti-aging benefits. Consuming black sesame seeds is known to increase melanin in the body, which promotes a healthy skin tone and shiny hair. Black sesame seeds are a subtle addition to a number of different dishes, but they go particularly well as a garnish for seafood dishes, or as an addition to salads.

Black Sesame Seeds are also a source of essential minerals such as calcium, iron, manganese, zinc, magnesium, selenium and copper. Consuming them is beneficial for your stomach, liver, and red blood cells. Aside from consuming them raw, you can also soak them overnight in order to retain more of the nutrients. Try soaking one cup of sesame seeds in two cups of water overnight, and add it to your morning smoothie or oatmeal! Certified Organic by Pro-Cert.
