Hectic lifestyles, stress, and medical conditions can contribute to poor sleep habits and disrupts your night slumber on occasion. In the U.S., millions of Americans struggle to fall asleep each night, including about 10 percent who suffer from chronic insomnia. This latter condition involves difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep, as well as waking up too early in the morning. Sleep inducers such as drugs and OTC medicines may often lead to dependence and other side effects.

Both sleep and emotional states involve complex physiological cycles in the body, and one or two medicinal ingredients cannot provide immediate relief or cure. Real House has focused on research and development, now introduces a remedy starting from easing tension, relaxing the body then leading you to a night of deep sleep. We know the mechanisms of human sleeping mode, our unique formula guides you to deep relaxation sleeping. Real House cares about your physiological and psychological state, This is Real Health!

*Note: Mood Sleep Rescue is not a sleeping pill, nor does it use a capsule or two to put you to sleep immediately. This is a health supplement that focuses on reducing stress, tension, and anxiety, promotes relaxation, and improves the quality of sleep. Major Ingredients and Functions:

 GABA (Gamma-aminobutyric acid)

GABA is a neurotransmitter that sends chemical messages through the brain and the nervous system and is involved in regulating communication between brain cells. It affects nervous system activity, producing a relaxation effect. They slow down the body’s central nervous system leading to sleepiness.

GABA plays an important role in behavior, cognition, and the body’s response to stress. Refer to US National Library of Medicine (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9577631/),  GABA is a chemical messenger and inhibitory neurotransmitter found in the brain. It helps calm the nervous system by blocking certain impulses between nerve cells, immediately slowing down brain activity. This, in turn, has a calming effect that can help relieve stress, anxiety, and fear.

Another study, this one published in 2016, also found sleep-promoting benefits from a combination of GABA and 5-HTP, including the time to fall asleep, sleep duration, and sleep quality.

Recent research showed that natural GABA had various sleep-improving effects. The researchers measured brain waves using electroencephalography (EEG). Those who took GABA fell asleep faster and had longer quality sleep time. They also reported feeling more energized in the morning.

 5-HTP

It easily crosses the blood-brain barrier and works effectively with the central nervous system to synthesize serotonin. 5-HTP works like a targeted missile directly increasing brain serotonin levels. In the CNS, serotonin levels have been implicated in the regulation of sleep, mood, appetite, temperature, sexual behavior, and pain sensation.

Changes in the level of serotonin in the brain can alter the mood. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter present in the brain. People often call dopamine and serotonin the “happy hormones,” because they promote mental well-being, stabilizes mood and anxiety. It help increase happiness by alleviating depression and anxiety and helps regulate sleep and wakefulness. Serotonin is targeted as a treatment for common depression.

 Glycine

It functions principally within the brain stem and spinal cord where it facilitates the transmission of nerve impulses. This amino acid interferes with the hyper-excitability of the central nervous system neurons. It does this by removing chloride and potassium to regulate their ability to be overstimulated. There have been numerous studies investigating the benefits of this amino acid in the improvement of cranial nervous system disorders. In a 2007 study published in the journal “Sleep and Biological Rhythms,” investigators found that glycine supplementation improved both subjective and objective measures of sleep quality in patients who experienced continuously unsatisfactory sleep.

Inositol

Inositol is an essential component of cell membranes and plays an important role in cell growth and brain function. It affects chemical messengers in brain, such as serotonin and dopamine. It helps balance important chemicals in the human brain, including those believed to affect mood, such as serotonin and dopamine (4Trusted Source). Interestingly, researchers have found that some people with depression, anxiety, and compulsive disorders have lower levels of inositol in the brain. Inositol is a carbocyclic sugar that is abundant in the brain and other mammalian tissues mediate cell signal transduction in response to a variety of hormones, neurotransmitters, and growth factors.

Many studies have been conducted regarding the inositol’s effects on different human biological functions. Consider the following research highlighting inositol’s possible ability to work for patients with panic disorder:

  • American Journal of Psychiatry (1995) — This study showed that the frequency and severity of panic attacks and agoraphobia lessened significantly after inositol administration, with minimal side effects. The authors concluded that inositol may be a potential therapeutic for panic disorder.
  • Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology (2001) — During the first month of the study, it was discovered that inositol helped lower the number of panic attacks experienced by patients.

Inositol plays a structural role in the body as a major component of cell membranes.

 L-Theanine

Refer to the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health: J Am Coll Nutr. 2015;34(5):436-47. DOI: 10.1080/07315724.2014.926153. Epub 2015 Mar 11. L-Theanine (γ-glutamylethylamide). This water-soluble essential amino acid can cross the blood-brain barrier and provides anxiolytic effects via the induction of α brain waves without additive and other side effects associated with conventional sleep inducers. Anxiolysis is required for the initiation of high-quality sleep. Studies suggest that the administration of L-theanine before bed may support sleep quality not by sedation but through anxiolysis. L-Theanine promotes relaxation without drowsiness. This review suggests that L-theanine is a safe natural sleep aid.

L-Theanine works primarily by modulating levels of various brain chemicals, the calmative neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin, and GABA, all of which are important for regulating mood, alertness, sleep, and energy.

 Magnesium Citrate

Magnesium is an essential mineral, one of seven essential macro-minerals that the human body needs in large quantities. The body does not produce magnesium. Healthy magnesium levels protect metabolic health, stabilize mood, keep stress in check, promote better sleep, and contribute to heart and bone health. Magnesium’s important role is as an enabler of healthy enzyme function. Magnesium is involved in more than 300 different enzyme-related reactions in the body’s cells. Magnesium plays a role in supporting deep, restorative sleep by maintaining healthy levels of GABA, a neurotransmitter that promotes sleep. Magnesium can also help insomnia and link to stress reduction and mood stabilization.

Dr. Hotze states that magnesium is a key element in the production of serotonin in the human brain. Because serotonin is a mood elevator, a lack of it can cause depression, a symptom of which is insomnia.

Some publication has shown that magnesium deficiency may be a trigger for anxiety and nervousness. Research shows that taking magnesium glycinate may promote a calming effect and help to lower symptoms of anxiety and may promote the quality of sleep.

Vitamin B Group

Vitamins are a group of water-soluble micronutrients that play an important role in cell metabolism and many other important bodily functions. It also plays an important role in the symptoms of insomnia.

Vitamin B9 (folate) is not only protected developing babies against certain birth defects but also supports healthy brain development through the teenage years, researchers report. Folate is effective to maintain normal brain development and function. Folate deficiency has been linked to insomnia.

Folate plays a critical role in serotonin neurotransmission.  Specifically, the enzyme responsible for converting L-tryptophan to 5-HTP.Without sufficient folate, L-tryptophan will struggle to convert to 5-HTP. Research on depression and folate is extensive; hundreds of studies support the relationship between folate and depression.

Vitamin B3(niacin) often promotes sleep in people who have insomnia caused by depression. Specifically, niacin is a major component of NAD and NADP, two coenzymes involved in cellular metabolism. Furthermore, it plays a role in cell signaling and acts as an antioxidant. Symptoms of niacin deficiency: Fatigue, Depression, Headache, Diarrhea.

Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) works well for stress and anxiety. A deficiency of B5 can cause sleep disturbances and fatigue.

Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) benefits the central nervous system in many important ways: It helps maintain the health of nerve cells, including those needed for neurotransmitter signaling, and helps form the protective covering of nerves, called the cell’s myelin health. It is reported that vitamin B12 is good for insomniacs who have problems falling asleep, as well as promoting normal sleep-wake cycles.

Vitamin B6 in coenzyme forms performs a wide variety of functions in the body and is extremely versatile, with involvement in more than 100 enzyme reactions, mostly concerned with protein metabolism. Vitamin B6 also plays a role in cognitive development through the biosynthesis of neurotransmitters and in maintaining normal levels of homocysteine, an amino acid in the blood. Vitamin B6 is involved in gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis, immune function (for example, it promotes lymphocyte and interleukin-2 production), and hemoglobin formation. Refer to the US National Library of Medicine (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9577631/), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) has a significant and selective modulatory impact on central serotonin and GABA production.

A deficiency in any of the B-Vitamins can lead to early signs of insomnia and even anxiety and emotional changes.
